Effect of both Z and Z'-mediated flavor-changing neutral currents on the baryonic rare decay decays into
We study the effect of both Z and Z'-mediated flavor-changing neutral
currents (FCNCs) on the rare
decay. We find the branching ratio is reasonably enhanced from its standard
model value due to the effect of both Z and Z'-mediated FCNCs, and gives the
possibility of new physics beyond the standard model. The contribution of
Z'-boson depends upon the precise value of the mass of Z' boson.Comment: 14 page
Lepton flavor violating Z' explanation of the muon anomalous magnetic moment
We discuss a minimal solution to the long-standing anomaly in a simple extension of the Standard Model with an extra vector boson that has only flavor off-diagonal couplings to the second and third generation of leptons, i.e. and their antiparticles. A simplified model realization, as well as various collider and low-energy constraints on this model, are discussed. We find that the -favored region for a lighter than the tau lepton is totally excluded, while a heavier solution is still allowed. Some testable implications of this scenario in future experiments, such as lepton-flavor universality-violating tau decays at Belle 2, and a new four-lepton signature involving same-sign di-muons and di-taus at HL-LHC and FCC-ee, are pointed out. A characteristic resonant absorption feature in the high-energy neutrino spectrum might also be observed by neutrino telescopes like IceCube and KM3NeT
Brief review of the searches for the rare decays and
The current experimental status of the searches for the very rare decays
and is discussed.
These channels are highly sensitive to various extensions of the Standard
Model, specially in the scalar and pseudoscalar sector. The recent, most
sensitive measurements from the CDF, ATLAS, CMS and LHCb collaborations are
discussed and the combined upper exclusion limit on the branching fractions
determined by the LHC experiments is shown to be for and for . The implications of these tight bounds on a selected set of New Physics
models is sketched.Comment: 20 pages, 15 figures, invited review for Modern Physics Letters
CP Violation in Supersymmetry with Effective Minimal Flavour Violation
We analyze CP violation in supersymmetry with Effective Minimal Flavour
Violation, as recently proposed in arXiv:1011.0730. Unlike the case of standard
Minimal Flavour Violation, we show that all the phases allowed by the flavour
symmetry can be sizable without violating existing Electric Dipole Moment
constraints, thus solving the SUSY CP problem. The EDMs at one and two loops
are precisely analyzed as well as their correlations with the expected CP
asymmetries in B physics.Comment: 22 pages, 7 figures. v2: Discussion in section 2 extended,

Complementarity of Semileptonic to and Decays in the Standard Model with Fourth Generation
The decays are
analyzed in the Standard Model extended to fourth generation of quarks (SM4).
The decay rate, forward-backward asymmetry, lepton polarization asymmetries and
the helicity fractions of the final state meson are obtained
using the form factors calculated in the light cone sum rules (LCSR) approach.
We have utilized the constraints on different fourth generation parameters
obtained from the experimental information on , and decays and from
the electroweak precision data to explore their impact on the decay. We find that the values of above mentioned
physical observables deviate deviate significantly from their minimal SM
predications. We also identify a number of correlations between various
observables in and decays. Therefore a combined analysis of these two
decays will compliment each other in the searches of SM4 effects in flavor
physics.Comment: 28 pages, 12 figure
B-decay CP-asymmetries in SUSY with a U(2)^3 flavour symmetry
We study CP asymmetries in rare B decays within supersymmetry with a U(2)^3
flavour symmetry, motivated by the SUSY flavour and CP problems, the
hierarchies in the Yukawa couplings and the absence so far of any direct
evidence for SUSY. Even in the absence of flavour-blind phases, we find
potentially sizable CP violating contributions to b -> s decay amplitudes. The
effects in the mixing-induced CP asymmetries in B ->phi K(S) and B -> eta'
K(S), angular CP asymmetries in B -> K* mu+ mu- and the direct CP asymmetry in
B -> X(s) gamma can be in the region to be probed by LHCb and next generation B
factories. At the same time, these effects in B decays are compatible with CP
violating contributions to meson mixing, including a non-standard B(s) mixing
phase hinted by current tensions in the CKM fit mostly between S(psi K(S)),
epsilon(K) and Delta M(B(s))/Delta M(B(d)).Comment: 13 pages, 3 figure
Cornering New Physics in b --> s Transitions
We derive constraints on Wilson coefficients of dimension-six effective
operators probing the b --> s transition, using recent improved measurements of
the rare decays Bs --> mu+mu-, B --> K mu+mu- and B --> K* mu+mu- and including
all relevant observables in inclusive and exclusive decays. We consider
operators present in the SM as well as their chirality-flipped counterparts and
scalar operators. We find good agreement with the SM expectations. Compared to
the situation before winter 2012, we find significantly more stringent
constraints on the chirality-flipped coefficients due to complementary
constraints from B --> K mu+mu- and B --> K* mu+mu- and due to the LHCb
measurement of the angular observable S_3 in the latter decay. We also list the
full set of observables sensitive to new physics in the low recoil region of B
--> K* mu+mu-.Comment: 18 pages, 6 figures, 4 tables. v3: typos correcte

Lepton polarization in Decays
We study the single and double lepton polarization asymmetries in the
semileptonic meson decays ,
, ), where the strange -wave meson, , is the mixtures
of the and , which are the and states,
respectively. The lepton polarization asymmetries show relatively strong
dependency in the various region of dileptonic invariant mass. The lepton
polarization asymmetries can also be used for determining the
-- mixing angle, and new physics effects.
Furthermore, it is shown that these asymmetries in
decay compared with those of decay are more sensitive to
the dileptonic invariant mass
Precision Flavour Physics with and
We show that a combined analysis of and
allows for new physics tests practically free of form factor uncertainties.
Residual theory errors are at the level of several percent. Our study
underlines the excellent motivation for measuring these modes at a Super
Flavour Factory.Comment: 26 pages, 2 figure
